 Located just north of Wagga Wagga and two hours from Canberra, the Canola Trail allows you to ease into relaxation mode as you explore (and indulge!) at your own pace. From the beginnings of the rail and agricultural industry to the thriving area the region is today, the trail will immerse you in the story of each shire and its people.  

Follow the trail through the charming towns and quaint villages, overflowing with hidden gems that are waiting to be found.

 The Canola Trail can be travelled in a day, or take your time and stay a while. The Canola Trail boasts a wide variety of accommodation options, including caravan parks and freedom camps, farm stays, quaint B&Bs, well-appointed motels and traditional pubs.


Coolamon Shire

Charming streetscapes, well preserved architecture, beautiful open spaces and a relaxed country atmosphere oozes from every town and village in Coolamon Shire. Step back in time as you explore each town and its main street and discover some hidden treasures along the way.

Relax and unwind as you take in each town and village at your own pace, and escape the hustle and bustle of the city. Get back to nature and take one of the many nature walks available and enjoy the peace and quiet. Coolamon Shire's towns and villages are waiting to welcome you!

Coolamon Shire takes in the three larger towns of Coolamon, Ganmain and Ardlethan, and the smaller villages of Marrar, Matong and Beckom.

Junee Shire

Junee Shire is truly a region that is like no other. If you want to experience Australian history in its finest, make tracks for Junee on your Riverina road trip throughout NSW.

Tour the beautiful rolling hills of the region, come and visit our famous ghosts, immerse yourself in rail history or head out to some of the surrounding villages. Nearby Bethungra, Wantabadgery, Illabo, Old Junee and Eurongilly offer delightful daytrip destinations!

With fabulous fine dining options, fresh farmers markets, and of course the unmissable Junee Licorice and Chocolate Factory, Junee offers fresh, organic and flavoursome options for the whole family.

Temora Shire

Immerse yourself in all Temora Shire has to see and do, whether you are looking to step back in time at either of our world class museums - Temora Aviation Museum and The Bundawarra Centre, home to the Ambulance Museum and Rural Museum - or getting a taste of their state-of-the-art Temora Town Hall Theatre.

A myriad of top quality sporting and recreational facilities - Lake Centenary (including the jet boat track), Nixon Park, or local golfing and bowling greens host annual events for visitors, and then there's the aviation mecca which is Temora Aerodrome.

Temora Shire includes the town of Temora, and villages of Ariah Park and Springdale.
