It doesn't matter where on the trail you start, as each town has some spectacular choices for those hungry to explore or just hungry for a feed.
Junee
Not only can Junee Licorice and Chocolate Factory satisfy your sweet tooth with their organic delights, but with a cafe and restaurant on site, it's a great place to pop in for a meal. At the Crossing Motel, the "Roundhouse Restaurant" has a friendly-family atmosphere, and specialises in home-style, wholesome cooking using local produce. Junee's quiet streets are lined with relaxed cafes and bakeries, serving up their own inspired menus. Make sure to try the Junee Railway Station Café, Merv’s Café, Swooping Magpie or Junee Bakery for a light lunch, or the Commercial Hotel, Red Cow or Junee Hotel for pub grub.
If you've got a little more time, just outside Junee is Coe & Co Wines, a family owned wine producer located at Cooba East Station. Bethungra Olde School T-House is a quirky little cafe that is definitely worth the trip, and the iconic Illabo Hotel offers something for the whole family.
Coolamon
Coolamon’s eating out scene is fast growing with new cafes and eateries popping up all over the place. You’ll find delightful bakeries, cafes and old fashioned country pubs where you can indulge in handcrafted delights. Coolamon Perk is the place to go to grab a coffee, a sweet treat or a tasty meal. Just over the road is Steve’s Bakery & Cafe with freshly baked bread, bakery treats and yummy café style meals. Within the State heritage listed Up-To-Date Store you will find the hidden treasure that is The Rustic Pantry, serving delicious breakfast, lunch and desserts alongside lovely homewares and gifts. Barty’s café is your take away go-to spot with tasty fish and chips, burgers and sandwiches which are perfect for your next picnic. The Royal Tavern Coolamon is a welcoming place to have a beer with the locals and a hearty pub meal. The Station collective is a newly opened café located in The historic Coolamon train station, sit on the platform and enjoy coffee and a house made lunch incorporating indigenous flavours. The perfect spot for high tea and scones it he beautifully restored Old Convent Coolamon. Try a handcrafted artisan cheese at the impressive Coolamon Cheese Co., created by passionate and highly skilled makers this innovative range of handcrafted cheeses that are sensual delight.
If you're heading through to Ganmain, set your sights on Ganmain Bakery (pick up a famous Ganmain pie!) and Ganmain Cafe or head towards to Ardlethan to Ariah 62 Coffee Shop for a coffee and cake or something more filling.
Temora
Choose from scrumptious light lunches, superb coffee and home baked goodies at Zest BYO or pop into the Roundabout Bakery for a freshly baked pie or cake. For something more filling, choose Shan’s Diners’ Choice, an award winning a la carte restaurant located at the Temora Bowling Club. For a Lebanese inspired taste sensation try Julez Bar & Restaurant, or enjoy a delicious bistro meal at the heritage listed federation Ariah Park Hotel, just a short scenic drive down the road.
