If a little bit of outdoor adventure is what you're seeking, the Canola Trail has plenty of big open spaces for bushwalking, bike riding, golf, birdwatching or just being at one with nature.

Pack your sense of adventure, and get ready to breathe in a big dose of fresh country air as you explore the natural reserves, community sports facilities, treks and trails of this beautiful region.

Temora

Temora's Lake Centenary, just north of town, is a man-made centre for aquatic enthusiasts, perfect for power boating, water skiing, sailing, canoeing, fishing, or just swimming. It is also the perfect place for a casual family walk or bike ride. Tee off at Temora Golf Club's 18 hole course which is great for all ages and skill levels. If you’ve got the kids in tow perhaps a game of mini golf at Puttyfish and Treasure Mini Golf is in order. While you're here, make time to explore Boginderra Hills Nature Reserve, a massive untouched nature reserve which provides excellent hiking and bushwalking through granite hills with breathtaking views of the surrounding countryside as far as the Weddin Mountains.

Coolamon

Nature lovers will be in their element as they explore the abundance of native animals, birds and flora found in the Coolamon Shire. Follow the interpretive signage of Kindra State Forest, with walking and bike tracks, it is a great place to enjoy a picnic, and keep your eyes peeled for the hundreds of species of birds and wildlife that call the Forest home. Ganmain's Murumbang Interpretive Nature Walk winds around the Ganmain Forest, railway dams, Boggy Creek and incorporates two bird hides, interpretive signage and an Interpretive Centre that provides picnic facilities.

Junee

Junee Golf Club has one of the Riverina's most interesting and challenging 18 hole, 72 par golf courses. Take a ride on the water slide at the Junee Recreation and Aquatic Centre, a modern facility offering a 50m, program and kids pools, gym and indoor stadium.

To get off the beaten track, make sure you check out Junee Wetlands, incorporating Park Dam, Bethungra Dam, and Junee Urban Wetlands. Other natural attractions in Junee Shire include Rocky Hill Reserve and Lookout, Sandy Beach and Ulandra Nature Reserve.

Within Junee township, you'll find Memorial Park as well as Laurie Daley Oval, named after the football legend who grew up in Junee, which is a great spot for a round of footy or cricket.

The towns along the Canola Trail also have a plethora of public swimming pools in case you need to cool down, family friendly bike paths as well as sport and recreation centres for more serious leisure activities.
